NORTH Shields manager Brian Smith challenged his players to use their dramatic FA Vase win at Cheadle Town asa “turning point” in their season.
The 2015 Vase winners have struggled to find consistency during the opening three months of the season and currently sit seven points adrift of the playoff places in the Northern League's top tier.
However, their Vase run got off toa positive start in the North West as Smith's side came through a penalty shootout to earn their spot in Monday's third round draw.
