Romance fraud suspects arrested

FOUR people have been arrested after officers from the North East Regionalised Organised Crime Unit identified a number of alleged victims of romance fraud.
-
The force identified several victims who had been contacted online and, through friendship or romantic communications, who had many stolen from them via fraud.
Officers from NEROCU worked with counterparts from the City of London Police, Eastern Regional Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) and Regional Organised Crime Unit West Midlands (ROCUWM) to make the arrests.
