NEWCASTLE United have tied down exciting winger Sammy Pinnington to a professional deal.

Pinnington, 17, joined Newcastle's Academy from Luton Town as a 14-year-old and has impressed Academy staff in his thee-year stint on Tyneside.

He is now aiming to make Eddie Howe's first-team, and is looking ahead with excitement to the future.

Pinnington said: “It’s been something I've wanted to do since I've been really young so I'm very happy to sign it, especially with Newcastle.

“The club has got great staff, facilities and I like the journey that the club is going on at the moment.
