Out-of-hours clinic offers free eye checks for homeless people

A NORTHUMBERLAND optician is set to give free eye tests and glasses to people experiencing homelessness at an out-of-hours clinic.

A team from Specsavers on Woodhorn Road, Ashington, are to hold an eye care clinic for people in need of a sight test, OCT scan and glasses outside of business hours this Friday, October 10.

The clinic will take place from 5pm to 7pm to offer people experiencing homelessness a quieter environment to speak to a healthcare professional.

Specsavers Ashington are partnering with Changing Lives and inviting those affected by any form of homelessness to pop into the special clinic.
