Newcastle have ‘every right’ to splash cash, says Jordan

The Chronicle

July 05, 2025

SIMON Jordan has labelled PSR rules a “nonsense” when Newcastle United's owners have “more money than God”.

The former Crystal Palace chairman has again called for change because Newcastle have “every right” to spend like Manchester City and Chelsea did before the regulations were introduced in 2013.

Newcastle have still managed to disrupt the established order by qualifying for the Champions League twice in three seasons, but face a challenge to maintain their place among the elite.
