McAtee can use U21 Euros as stepping stone, says Hart

JOE Hart believes James McAtee could use this summer's Under-21 European Championship as a “stepping stone” to first-team football at Manchester City or elsewhere.
McAtee, who has been of interest to Newcastle, will captain England against the Czech Republic this Thursday as Lee Carsley's side attempt to defend their crown in Slovakia.
The 22-year-old, who featured 15 times for Pep Guardiola's side in the Premier League last season, has been selected for international duty instead of City’s Club World Cup campaign in the United States - a decision Hart believes would have been a collective one.
