BRUNO SAYS WOLTEMADE IS SHOWING TALENT AND UNITED ARE PLEASED TO HAVE HIM
BRUNO Guimaraes insists that Newcastle United are the real winners of the summer transfer window after landing 6ft 6in German striker Nick Woltemade from under the noses of Bayern Munich.
The Brazilian has been impressed by Woltemade’s start to life on Tyneside after he took his tally to four goals in the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest with a goal from the spot.
Having arrived at St James’ Park under intense scrutiny, with Bayern Munich legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge branding Newcastle chiefs “idiots” for paying the £69m fee, Woltemade is repaying the Magpies in goals.
Bruno dismissed the summer of despair, which saw Alexander Isak sold, and admitted Newcastle have landed a real star.
