Lazio star Guendouzi dismisses speculation over future

LAZIO midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has firmly dismissed transfer speculation linking him away from the club.

That speculation has included strong links to Sunderland, with head coach Regis Le Bris admitting he was still in contact with Guendouzi after the pair worked together at Lorient in France.

But Guendouzi has insisted his attention is solely on his current commitments in Rome.

Speaking to DAZN following Lazio's victory against Lecce, the French international addressed questions about his future head-on, via TuttoMercatoWeb.

Guendouzi made it clear that despite the persistent noise surrounding him, he remains committed to the team's current journey.

Asked whether his comments to a question were in connection to transfer rumours he said: "For me, we are all focused on the present, we are united and that's good." The midfielder, who recently celebrated a milestone of having played 100 times for the Roman club, emphasised his strong desire to continue performing for Lazio and that was his sole concern.
