WISSA STILL HIGH ON THE WISH LIST

Howe: We're not done yet in transfer market

NEWCASTLE United head coach Eddie Howe has made it clear that the Magpies are not finished in the transfer market after adding Jacob Ramsey to his squad on Sunday.

The £43m deal has excited many Toon supporters with the left-sided player an option out wide and in a couple of midfield positions.

Ramsey could make his Premier League debut against Liverpool next Monday night after completing his move from Aston Villa over the weekend.

What happens now in the final few days of the transfer window will be interesting for Howe and his black and whites with Yoane Wissa still high on the wish-list plus another potential striker to come in.

Alexander Isak’s situation could also come to a head with Liverpool understood to be waiting on another official approach with the Swede refusing to play for Newcastle again.

But Howe gave a simple message when asked what type of signings fans could expect before the window shuts.

He told reporters: “We are still active in the window and we'd love to add one or two players but it really is quality over quantity.
