COUNCIL IS HOPING TO TACKLE DIGITAL POVERTY
A CITY-wide free WiFi network is set to transform Newcastle into “one of the UK’s most digitally inclusive and connected cities.”
Newcastle City Council has rolled out free WiFi across council buildings and other participating venues, including gyms, libraries, commercial buildings and public spaces.
It has already been introduced in the Grainger Market, and full implementation is expected to be completed by the end of this month.
