Ex-takeaway owner fined for second time

A FORMER Newcastle takeaway owner who operated out of three premises has been fined for a second time after admitting food hygiene breaches at “filthy” shops.

Abu Essa, of Railway Terrace, Wallsend has now been fined over breaches at Heaton Tandoori in Addycombe Terrace.

He had earlier been warned about cleaning and food handling rules at the other shops he ran - Jesmond Tandoori and the Motijheel.

Earlier this week it was also revealed he and his wife Bina Essa had been fined for food hygiene breaches at the former premises.

Heaton Tandoori sold Indian meals and pizzas which were prepared elsewhere in the city and then sold from the shop.
