Eagles are soaring thanks to star show from Daley

THE Newcastle Eagles Women picked up their second win from two games in the Vertu Arena on Saturday night with a 79-60 defeat of London Lions.

Itwas a very solid professional team performance all round led by star forward Andrea Daley.
The USA forward who graduated from Boston College in the summer took the MVP honours on the night and had this to say after the game.
“| thought it went pretty well. I wish we could have played a lot better but we had a lot of things to fix coming into it. This was our first game in two weeks so we were just running back up and stuff”
Newcastle pretty much killed the game in the first half when they played great defence leading to excellent offence that saw them take a 23-point lead at 49-26 into the locker room after the first half.
