Durham suffer heavy defeat to Yorkshire

FIN Bean broke Yorkshire's record for their fastest List A century in reaching his off 53 balls in a landslide 212-run win over Durham at Scarborough to maintain their relentless march towards the Metro Bank One-Day Cup knockouts.

Left-handed Bean, batting at five, boosted the Group B leaders to a 354 for seven total with a destructive 102 not out off 57 with eight fours and six sixes. James Wharton also contributed a dynamic career best 84.

In only his second appearance of the competition, Bean’s maiden List A hundred set Yorkshire up for the fifth win in six matches.

Durham then crumbled to 142 all out in 36 overs, losing their fourth game in seven to all but end their knockout hopes. This was their heaviest List A defeat by runs margin. New-ball seamer Jack White returned three for 24 from eight overs for the hosts.
