Dog rescue aid charity 'praying for a miracle'

A NEWCASTLE charity which donates food, medication and other necessities to dog rescues across the UK and Europe fears closure after it was served notice on its warehouse.
Take Away the Tears moved its operations from Benton to Carr Ellison House, the former AA call centre on William Armstrong Drive in Scotswood, in March last year.
However, it is understood that the building has been sold, and the charity has been served notice on the space and must vacate by September 17.
Founder Sue Nuttall, who runs the charity alongside working part-time, says that the organisation is now at a “turning point” and she is “praying for a miracle” to continue its work.
Currently, Take Away the Tears does not pay any rent to use the storage space, and Sue fears that an equivalent space will cost at least £500 a month.
