Bosses look at versions of new crest

NEWCASTLE United chiefs have viewed new versions of the club’s crest after a provisional date was decided for the current badge to be replaced.

It is believed that new slick crests have been shown to Toon bosses with the logo set to impress fans on future Adidas ranges. Although it has to made clear that no changes have been agreed and won't be until fans are happy with the redesign, insiders are referring to the design as the “potential new crest”.

The Magpies have worn the current badge on their kit since 1988 but announced plans to review the crest earlier this year. That would require a major operation around the training ground and St James’ Park with every logo needing to be replaced.
