Bomb plotter refuses to face court over jail murder bid charges

MANCHESTER Arena bombing accomplice Hashem Abedi has refused to appear in court after being accused of attempting to murder prison officers at a high-security prison.

The 28-year-old failed to appear via a scheduled videolink at Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday, resulting in the case being postponed.
He faces three charges of attempted murder following an incident on April 12 at HMP Frankland in County Durham, where four prison officers were injured.
