MAN IN 50S SUFFERS INJURIES TO FOREHEAD AND FACE
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was injured in an alleged County Durham shooting.
The A691 from Consett into Lanchester was closed in both directions following the incident on Monday evening.
Police were called to reports of shots being fired at Lanchester Hand Car Wash, just before 7.30pm.
It is alleged that a car pulled into the business and someone in the vehicle shot a man, causing injuries to his chest, face, forehead and eye.
