Why the big secret with 'Undisclosed fee' sales?

WE are told that Harrison Burke's sale involved a significant sum so that is great news for Chester FC.

But, for me, it's just a shame that those dreaded words 'undisclosed fee' hide the real truth of just how good a piece of business it may have been.

I have always wondered why clubs don't want to reveal the money involved.

Chester boss Calum McIntyre has had to go in print to assure supporters that just because it's an undisclosed fee doesn't mean it's not a significant one.

Why not reveal it then?

Is it because the selling club are concerned fans will think it's not enough for their player?
