Old Coach House in village 'is perfect' for funeral firm

A NEW funeral home has been opened by John Knowles Funeral Service in the Chester village of Eccleston.

The Old Coach House, with its own service chapel, was blessed by the rector of of Eccleston, Rev Dr Stephen Torr, in the presence of other religious and secular officiants, along with villagers, funeral directors and families that have already engaged the services of John Knowles at their time of need.

"I wanted to provide a service for the good people of Chester," said company principal John Knowles, who hails from Chester and is the son of the late GP Dr Knowles of Tarvin.
