New IKEA store takes a step closer
The Chester Chronicle
|June 12, 2025
THE opening of IKEA's eagerly-anticipated new store in Chester has edged closer.
The Swedish furniture giant confirmed in April that it was opening a new store in the former Homebase unit on the Greyhound Retail Park later this year.
Featuring the popular retailer's famous home furnishing inspiration, market hall and bespoke planning services, the new Chester store will provide the IKEA experience that customers know and love, but on a smaller scale.
It will offer a compact on-the-go food menu for customers to take away - where fans can still expect IKEA's much-loved meatballs.
