Neston crowned Team of the Year

AFTER Neston Hockey Club's success on the pitch in the 2023/24 season, the Men's 1st team have gone on to bigger and better things in the 2024/25 campaign, being named winners of England Hockey Men's Team of the Year at Saturday night's glittering awards ceremony at The Athena in Leicester.

They beat fellow nominees Chelmsford HC, Old Cranleighans HC, local rivals Timperley HC and Wapping Dockers HC to the prestigious title.
This has capped off an excellent season on the pitch where the team were outright winners of the North West Premier league, unbeaten in the season and gaining promotion back to the National Leagues for the first time in 30 years.
Next season they will be playing in Men’s Conference North, which is Tier 3 of the EH league system.
