Zirakpur reports 22 dengue and 14 malaria cases in one week

Around 100 patients are coming to the mohalla clinic of Baltana every day. Out of these, 20 to 25 patients are suffering from viral fever. Apart from this, 4 patients have been diagnosed with typhoid and one patient with dengue.

Cases of dengue have started coming to the fore. On Friday, the SMO of Dhakoli Community Health Center, referring to a report, confirmed the emergence of dengue cases. Citing the report, the SMO said that 22 cases of dengue and 14 cases of malaria have been confirmed in Zirakpur. This report is being told of one week. These are the figures which are recorded in the government records, whereas dozens of private hospitals are running in the city and patients are getting their treatment there too. The number of dengue patients may increase in the coming days. Dengue spreads due to the bite of Aedes mosquito, in this the patient first complains of high fever. After which symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, headache appear. During this time, the platelet count of the patient starts decreasing. In severe cases of dengue, the platelets decrease to less than 50 thousand, which can prove to be dangerous for the patient.
