Traders expect Rs 4.25 L Cr turnover this Diwali: CAIT

As Diwali approaches, preparations are in full swing across Delhi and various parts of India, with traders anticipating a significant turnover of approximately Rs 4.25 lakh crore during this festive season.

This optimistic projection was shared by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Sunday, highlighting the vibrant economic activity that characterizes this time of year.
In Delhi alone, the traders expect business worth around Rs 75,000 crore, signaling the city's central role in the festive retail landscape.
Praveen Khandelwal, Chandni Chowk MP and CAIT Secretary General, expressed enthusiasm for the grand preparations underway in markets across the capital and the nation.
Khandelwal pointed out that shops in metropolitan areas, as well as in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, towns, and villages, are being adorned in alignment with the Diwali theme.
This year's festive decor is set to include colorful lights, intricate rangolis, and various other decorations designed to create an inviting and celebratory atmosphere that draws shoppers into the markets.
