Traders expect business worth Rs 4.74 lakh crore in wedding season

India's business community is all geared up for the wedding season which commenced 23rd November and is expected to generate business worth Rs. 4.74 lakh crore with about 38 lakh weddings expected to be happening all over the country.

In 2022, around 32 lakh weddings took place in the same period and trade was estimated at Rs 3.75 lakh crore. The wedding season will continue till 15 December, and halt thereafter till mid-January 2024 when the auspicious days mark another phase of wedding season which will continue till July 2024.
