TATA MOTORS TO HIVE OFF BUSINESSES INTO SEPARATE CV, PV ENTITIES

Tata Motors on Monday approved to demerge its businesses into two separate listed companies following a decision by the Board of Directors of Tata Motors to this effect of TML into two businesses, one of which will be a commercial vehicle business and its related investments and the other, a PV businesses including PV, EV, JLR and its related investments in another entity.
The backdrop to this is that over the past few years, the CV, PV (PV+EV), and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) businesses of Tata Motors have delivered a strong performance by successfully implementing distinct strategies. Since 2021, these businesses have been operating independently under their respective CEOs.
