Tata Motors gets 5 star safety rating for Punch.ev, Nexon.ev

Tata Motors may harness the considerable synergies that exist across PV, EV and JLR in areas of electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles and vehicle software, drive up penetration of EVs in the portfolio to 30 per cent by FY30 and continue to focus on developing the market for mainstreaming of EVs

The home grown auto major expects that the recent demerger shall further empower the respective businesses to pursue their respective strategies to deliver higher growth with greater agility while reinforcing accountability which will lead to a superior experience for customers and enhanced value for shareholders, as per the key takeaways emerging from an investor presentation of Tata Motors.

According to Nomura Ratings, there appears to be a well-thought-out plan to significantly expand market share to 18-20 per cent by FY30 from 14 per cent in FY24. The company plans to address 80 per cent of the market from 53 per cent currently with new products (such as Curvv, Sierra and others). Thus, Tata Motors expects to grow at -2x the industry growth of 6-7 per cent, Nomura reports.
