Solar projects to attract over $380 billion in investment

Global investments in Isolar energy projects are poised to surge, with expectations of attracting more than $380 billion this year, according to Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director General of the International Solar Alliance (ISA). Speaking during the Singapore International Energy Week, Dr. Mathur noted that the investment flow in this sector has been on a steady rise. Last year witnessed approximately $310 billion in investments, and during the first half of this year, over $235 billion has already been committed to solar projects. The ISA envisions this figure to exceed $380 billion by the end of the year.

Highlighting the mission of the ISA, Dr. Mathur emphasized their goal of making solar energy the preferred energy source in each member country. The ISA, currently with 116 member countries, is projected to expand to 120 members by the year's end.
