Police reports 20% fall in street crime calls after Operation Aaghat 2.0

The Delhi Police on Thursday reported a 20 per cent drop in PCR calls related to street crimes in Southeast Delhi over the past month, crediting the decline to intensified night patrolling, vehicle checks, and enhanced visible policing.
According to officials, around 500 people were apprehended under Operation Aaghat 2.0, a district-wide crackdown on organised crime, habitual offenders, bootleggers, and drug peddlers.
The operation, launched on Wednesday under the supervision of Joint Commissioner of Police (Southern Range) Sanjay Jain and led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari, mobilised over 600 police personnel across the district.
