PM Modi launches year-long Vande Mataram celebration, unveils stamp, coin

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday formally inaugurated the yearlong nationwide commemoration of the National Song, Vande Mataram, at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.
The programme marks the beginning of celebrations that will continue from November 7, 2025, to November 7, 2026, honoring the 150th anniversary of this iconic composition that played a pivotal role in India's freedom movement and continues to inspire national pride and unity.
During the event, PM Modi released a commemorative stamp and coin dedicated to Vande Mataram, reinforcing its historical and cultural significance. Additionally, the Prime Minister launched a dedicated portal to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the National Song, which will serve as a digital hub for citizens to explore the history, literature, and cultural impact of this revolutionary anthem.
