Telecom operators are gearing up for a substantial network upgrade in Ayodhya in preparation for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22.

With over 7,000 dignitaries and visitors expected to attend the event, the Ayodhya Development Authority foresees a daily influx of three to five lakh visitors post-inauguration, leading to a significant surge in network traffic.

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced enhancements to its network infrastructure, upgrading existing sites across major areas of Ayodhya. Vi aims to provide seamless network connectivity to all visitors and pilgrims by improving coverage, increasing capacity, and enhancing backhaul connectivity across all spectrum bands in the city.

Speedy approvals from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and various governmental departments have facilitated the process, ensuring the immediate execution of tower space, material movement, and manpower allocation. Vi’s strategic approach involves adding new sites and upgrading/refarming L2100 spectrum capacity across the city.
