NBFCs surpass banks in MSME lending; growth expected to sustain, says CareEdge

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in India has witnessed a substantial increase in lending activity in recent years, with Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) emerging as key drivers of this growth.
According to a report by CareEdge Ratings, NBFCs have outpaced both private and public sector banks in MSME loan disbursals, posting the highest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past few years.
