India employers expect moderate hiring in next 3 months

Employers in India anticipate a gradual increase in hiring over the next three months as they prioritize investing in the professional growth of their employees and fostering a healthy workplace environment.

According to the most recent ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey, which polled over 3,020 businesses from various industries and geographical areas, hiring intentions have decreased by 17% compared to this time last year, but have somewhat improved quarter over quarter by 1%. The Net Employment Outlook for the October-December quarter stood at 37 per cent, up 1 per cent from the July-September quarter of 2023, and decreased by 17 per cent when compared with the same time last year. The Net Employment Outlook is derived by taking the percentage of employers anticipating an increase in hiring activity and subtracting from this the percentage of employers expecting a decrease in hiring activity.
