RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat announced that the idol of Lord Ram will be consecrated at the Ayodhya temple on 22 January, with a call for Indians to arrange celebratory programs at temples nationwide. Speaking at the RSS Dussehra rally, held at the Reshimbaug ground in Nagpur, Bhagwat emphasized that India is now under global scrutiny to surmount its challenges. He also conducted the "Shastra Pooja" during the event. "In Ayodhya, construction of a temple dedicated to Lord Ram is well underway, and the installation of the Lord Ram idol at the temple is scheduled for January 22. On that auspicious day, we can organize commemorative events at our local temples throughout the country," Bhagwat stated, as reported by news agency.
