Gold Loan Scam: accused Deepak Bhola arrested after 2 years

After being elusive for more than two years, Deepak Bhola, the accused involved in orchestrating a scam involving fake gold, landed under Panchkula police's grip.
Bhola was arrested from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi by the Economic Wing and presented in court, on Friday. The court announced a four-day remand period for further investigations.
Deepak Bhola was accused of facilitating loans worth Rs 3 crore by valuing fake gold as genuine at the Bank of India, Sector 16, Panchkula branch.
Bhola, who also worked as an official gold appraiser at the bank, is alleged to have colluded with others to dupe the bank.
