Emerging social enterprises teams achieve success

Six social enterprise teams hailing from China, India, Indonesia, Laos, and Singapore clinched victory at this year’s Young Social Entrepreneurs (YSE) Global Programme hosted by the Singapore International Foundation (SIF).

They represented 15 youth members who showcased innovative business ideas addressing pressing social and environmental issues such as mental health, water conservation, technology access for underserved communities, and women’s empowerment.
This year’s YSE Global Programme boasted its most robust mentorship support in its 14-year history, witnessing 82 volunteer mentors dedicating over 330 hours to guide participant teams. The mentoring journey commenced during the YSE Global 2023 Workshop in June and continued through to October. Distinguished business professionals and seasoned social entrepreneurs mentored 46 teams, offering guidance to fortify their business strategies.
