Congress appoints senior observers and coordinators for Maharashtra polls

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has taken significant steps in preparing the party for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, appointing key figures as All India Congress Committee (AICC) senior observers and state election senior coordinators. These appointments, covering different regions of Maharashtra, are crucial as the Congress gears up for one of the most anticipated electoral battles in the state, which has historically been a political battleground.

The official release from the Congress party announced that Mukul Wasnik and Avinash Pande have been designated as senior coordinators for the state election campaign.

Both leaders have extensive experience in election management and political strategy. Their roles will involve overseeing the overall campaign, liaising between central leadership and local units, and ensuring that election operations are streamlined and effective.

In terms of regional divisions, the Congress has appointed senior leaders to oversee different parts of the state. Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, and G. Parameshwara, former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister, have been assigned as senior observers for the crucial Mumbai and Konkan division.

Mumbai, being the financial capital of India, and Konkan, with its strong cultural and political significance, are both regions where Congress hopes to make substantial gains.
