'Centre to link 28 more mandis to eNAM'

The government will Th integrate 28 additional new wholesale mandis (market yards) with the online trading platform eNAM, taking the total count to 1,389 in the country, Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja said.

At present, 1,361 regulated mandis in 23 states and four Union Territories are linked with the electronic National Agriculture Market (eNAM), launched on 26 April. This move is expanding the reach and accessibility of eNAM, which is an online platform that facilitates the buying and selling of agricultural produce. By linking more mandis to eNAM, farmers will have access to a larger market and better price discovery for their crops.
