Aditya-L1 sun mission: Satellite in good health

The Aditya-L1 spacecraft, which was safely launched to investigate the Sun, performed its first earthbound maneuver.

In its most recent update, ISRO stated that the satellite is “healthy and operating nominally” and that the next maneuver is planned for Tuesday at 0300 IST. Shifting the focus to its next space odyssey after successfully placing a lander on the moon’s uncharted South Pole region, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched from Sriharikota on Saturday the country’s maiden solar mission -- Aditya-L1.
It carried seven different payloads to have a detailed study of the sun, four of which will observe the light from the sun and the other three will measure in-situ parameters of the plasma and magnetic fields.

Both of these appear to be the only answers to the questions of poverty and misery that we see still engulfing a large part of our population. But one cannot deny that development in its conventional course can only happen at the expense of natural resources. Infrastructure can develop only at the cost of forests, and material well-being can only happen at the cost of natural resources. And therefore, a severe paradox presents itself, demanding our immediate attention, as to where we can find the solution that could bring a resolution to this problem.
