2nd Jan Vishwas Bill in the works to increase ease of compliance: Goyal

The Government is working on a second Jan Vishwas Bill to increase the ease of compliance for industry.
The Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023 was passed in Parliament in July this year to amend certain enactments for decriminalizing and rationalising offenses to further enhance trust-based governance for ease of living and doing business. “We are already working on it and urge the industry to come up with ideas as we plan to come up with Jan Vishwas bill with additional provisions where we decriminalize and make compliance easier,” Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal, said on Friday addressing FICCI’s 96th Annual General Meeting.
