Major IPS reshuffle in Jharkhand

The Jharkhand government has effected a major reshuffle in the Indian Police Service (IPS), issuing orders for promotions, transfers and fresh postings of officers from the 2001 to 2024 batches.
The notification was released by the Department of Home, Prison and Disaster Management on Wednesday and will come into force from January 1, 2026, or the date officers assume charge.
At the senior level, Manoj Kaushik (2001 batch) has been promoted and appointed Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Jharkhand, Ranchi. He will also hold additional charge of police training until further orders.
Ajay Singh (2008 batch) has been promoted and posted as Inspector General of Police (IG), CID, Jharkhand.
