Vice President Sara Duterte went to Davao Oriental on Saturday, Oct. 11, to personally condole with the victims of the twin earthquakes that rocked the province.
The official visited the bereaved families to extend her solidarity and support in light of the disasters that struck the region.
“Oo, nagbisita tayo ng mga kaibigan at kakilala natin dito sa Mati City at binisita natin iyong mga namatay dahil sa lindol. ‘Yung dalawa, dinala na sa kanilang municipality,” she said in a media interview on the sidelines of the visit.
Duterte disclosed that one of the victims in Mati City was originally from Davao City, so they had to help facilitate the travel to bring home their loved one home.
