The Philippine sambo team made its title aspiration known to everyone by clinching one gold and one silver at the start of the Asia Oceania Sambo Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Monday, April 14.
Aislinn Agnes Yap dominated the sport sambo adult women's -80kg division after overpowering local bet Mavluda Abdullaeva in the gold-medal round, 1-0. The Filipina standout first blanked Kazakhstan's Ultay Seiilova, 4-0, after the 3:07 contest.
