MAYOR ISKO SLAMS DPWH OVER UNCOORDINATED BRIDGE CLOSURE

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has publicly criticized the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for announcing the closure of the southbound lane of the Dimasalang Bridge without securing the necessary permits or coordinating with the city government.
Domagoso revealed that the DPWH failed to obtain the required clearances and work permits for the project, which is scheduled to run until December 15, 2025.
He also stressed that the department has yet to submit a finalized traffic management plan to the local government.
In response, the mayor issued a cease and desist order halting the planned rehabilitation. “Stop. May gobyerno na sa Maynila,” Domagoso asserted.
