BuCor: No special treatment for Alice Guo

Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice L. Guo, sentenced to life imprisonment for qualified human trafficking, is receiving no special treatment at the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said.
BuCor's statement came in response to reports alleging that Guo had been visited by Chinese-looking men and possibly received a mobile phone.
It emphasized that Guo, like all inmates, is subject to the same regulations and restrictions, with no privileges afforded to her or any other persons deprived of liberty.
