|November 30, 2025
A five-year-old boy was killed by his eight-year-old cousin in what police described as a freak accident in Argao town, Cebu province, on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 26.
The boy was found lifeless in a creek with a wound on his neck, police said.
Authorities later learned that the injury was inflicted by his cousin, who claimed the incident was accidental.
The names of the boys were withheld for being minors.
Police Executive Master Sgt. Vivian of the Women and Children Protection's Desk said the boy's mother went to their office to report that her son was found dead in a creek.
