'India to double defence exports soon'

India’s defence capabilities have advanced remarkably through indigenous efforts and the country aims to double down its defence equipment exports in the next couple of years, said honorary advisor (Aerospace and Defence) to Andhra Pradesh government G Satheesh Reddy on Friday.

“Drone technology, radar systems, anti-drone weapons, or missile systems like Akash and BrahMos have shown the world what India is capable of. Delivering precision strikes against terror infrastructure across Pakistan with its technological prowess during the recent operations, the Indian Armed Forces have impressed the global defence community,” he said while addressing a gathering of engineering graduates at SR University’s 3rd Convocation Ceremony which was celebrated here on Friday.
