Beginning of Congress downfall, says KTR

Congratulating BRS-supported candidates who won as sarpanches and ward members in the first phase of Telangana gram panchayat elections, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Friday described the results as a clear rejection of the ruling Congress party and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s failed governance.

Pointing out large-scale atrocities and murder politics by the Congress during the polls, he praised BRS workers for fighting bravely and securing victories despite the ruling party’s reign of terror. “Even though Chief Minister Revanth Reddy toured districts under the pretext of official visits and openly campaigned, the Congress could not cross even 44 per cent of seats wherever it contested.
