Young working stars recognised at glittering gala evening

Hundreds of people celebrated the achievements of the North East’s apprentices at a special awards night - with young people working at some of the region’s biggest companies among the winners.

The North East Apprenticeships Awards, organised by the Shields Gazette's parent company, Iconic Media, took place at St James's Park in Newcastle on Thursday night.
A total of 14 awards were presented across different categories to celebrate the work of apprentices, mentors and the companies and organisations which employ and train them.
The awards serve as a platform to showcase the outstanding contributions of apprentices, employers and training providers across the North East, recognising the vital role they play in developing future talent and supporting the region’s economy.
