Punters to pen Christmas cards for those in need
Sunderland Echo
|November 21, 2025
A popular city centre pub is asking punters to pen a Christmas card for those in need.
The Beehive in Sunderland is among 12 community pubs across the region, including Bird in Washington and Crown in Boldon Colliery, calling on their customers to help spread festive cheer by writing Christmas cards to those facing loneliness and isolation this Christmas.
This year, customers have also been given the opportunity to purchase a drink for the recipient, which can be redeemed at a later date.
