In 1961, an unknown 19-year-old Bob Dylan arrives in New York City with his guitar and forges relationships with musical icons on his meteoric rise, culminating in a groundbreaking performance that reverberates around the world.

Timothee Chalamet plays Dylan who goes to the Big Apple to visit his idol Woody Guthrie, Scoot McNairy, in self-imposed convalescence with Huntington's disease at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital.
An impromptu acoustic performance of a song that Bob has written for Woody propels the teenager's star into the ascendancy.
Pete Seeger, Edward Norton, invites Bob to stay with his wife Toshi, Eriko Hatsune, and their children until the prodigy finds his footing.
